10th Grade

ECAP Goals:   

Students will understand the purpose and value of the SAT and ACT by:

  • Taking the PSAT (given at Saguaro during the school day; no registration required for 10th graders)

Students will explore and gain an understanding of their career interests by:

  • Completing a “Personality Assessment" in SchooLinks and then researching a career through "Career Exploration" based on their results
  • Completing a "Learning Styles Assessment" in SchooLinks

ACE Program through Scottsdale Community College:

Achieving a College Education (ACE) is a nationally recognized, competitive application-based college preparation program for high school students.

National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA):

Students who plan to participate in college athletics at the Division I or Division II level must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Students who plan to participate in Division III or intramural sports do not need to register.

The NCAA requires specific courses to be completed at designated times during high school. To review the requirements for each division, click here.

College Testing:

PSAT

SUSD pays and registers all 10th graders to take the PSAT in the fall semester.

Once results are released by College Board, students need to review their scores and remediate any areas of weakness prior to future test dates. 

ACT/SAT

Consider taking a FREE practice length test for the ACT or SAT to determine which test is the best fit for you. 

Princeton Review is a valuable website to use for test preparation purposes. Similar resources are available through Scottsdale Education Center, Kaplan, Revolution Prep, or Vogel Prep.
